Texas Pacific Group's Gary Kusin to speak at Business Breakfast Oct. 24

Gary Kusin, a partner at Texas Pacific Group and former president and CEO of FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Services, will be the featured speaker at the Neeley School of Business’ Tandy Executive Speaker Series on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. The breakfast event takes place 7:30-9:00 a.m. at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center, 2820 Stadium Drive, on the TCU campus.

The Tandy Executive Speaker Series is a community outreach program offered by the Neeley School of Business at TCU to develop and disseminate leading-edge thought in order to improve the practice of business.

At Texas Pacific Group, Kusin focuses on retail and business services. At FedEx Kinko’s, Kusin was responsible for strategic direction, product and service vision, as well as growth and development in all areas of the company. He also served on the Strategic Management Committee for FedEx Corporation. Before joining Kinko’s Inc. in 2001, Kusin was chief executive officer of HQ Global Workplaces, the world leader in officing solutions.

In 1995, he co-founded Laura Mercier Cosmetics, now sold through leading specialty and department stores worldwide. Prior to that, he was president and co-founder of Babbage’s Inc., the first consumer software specialty store chain in the U.S., which now operates under the name Game Stop. Earlier in his career, he was vice president and general merchandise manager for the Sanger-Harris division of Federated Department Stores. An Inc. magazine “Entrepreneur of Year” award winner, Kusin serves on the board of directors of Electronic Arts Inc., Dallas Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Dallas Citizen’s Council. He earned a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from the Harvard Business School.
