Announcing the TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur Scholarship finalists

Fort Worth, TX

12/3/2010

The Neeley Entrepreneurship Center has chosen 25 Texas highs school students as finalists in this year’s TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, sponsored by Compass Bank. Out of a record-setting 101 applications from students all across the state, these 25 demonstrated the most success in starting, running and making money from their own ventures.

Since its inception in 2003, the TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year scholarship program has attracted hundreds of incoming freshmen to TCU, allowing them to hone their business skills and broaden their knowledge and impact by participating in the award-winning Neeley Entrepreneurship Program.  Several entrepreneurial management graduates have been featured in local and national media for their ongoing success.

The newest crop of 25 finalists will participate in TCU Young Entrepreneur Days on campus January 30-31, 2011, where they will meet successful business owners, learn about the entrepreneurship program, and be interviewed by judges who select the six award recipients. Scholarships will be award to the top five, $1,000 each, and one student will be chosen for the Grand Prize scholarship of $5,000. All scholarships are doubled for those who attend TCU.
