This year’s productions are two of Shakespeare’s most popular plays — the ultimate tragedy, Hamlet, and his delightful romantic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing.  Trinity Shakespeare Festival is a professional Shakespeare company housed on the campus of TCU.  Performances will begin with pay-what-you-can previews of Hamlet on Tuesday, June 8 and Much Ado About Nothing on Wednesday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m. Opening Nights will be Thursday, June 10 with Hamlet in the Hays Theatre at 7:30 p.m. and Much Ado About Nothing in the Buschman Theatre on Friday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The plays continue with a revolving schedule through June 27.  Performances will be in TCU’s newly renovated, intimate (indoor/air conditioned) theaters: the Jerita Foley Buschman Theatre and the Marlene and Spencer Hays Theatre.

The 2009 Trinity Shakespeare Festival productions of Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night received numerous Dallas Fort Worth Theatre Critics Forum Awards including Outstanding Performances by an Actor and Actress, Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Design.
