Larry Lockwood, finance professor and holder of the C.R. Williams Professorship of Financial Services at in the Neeley School of Business, has been honored as MBA Alumni Professor of the Year. The award includes invitations to speak at alumni chapter events and a stipend of $10,000.

Neeley's MBA alumni organization began the award in 2006 to honor Neeley School faculty. The Alumni Executive Board and the dean of the Neeley School select the recipient from alumni nominations.

"The many alumni who nominated him spoke both of his expertise in his subject matter and his skills as a teacher," said Dan Short, dean, Neeley School. "His deep commitment to each student touched all."

"The MBA Alumni Professor of the Year award is especially meaningful to me because it is awarded by former students after they've had time to reflect on their college experiences," said Lockwood. "I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to influence students in their career and life choices. I consider the MBA Alumni Award one of the highest honors bestowed on a professor, and one for which I am extremely grateful."
