Renowned choreographer Alonzo King leads "Conversations on Dance" here Oct. 3

Renowned choreographer Alonzo King, artistic director of LINES Ballet in San Francisco, will be at TCU Tuesday, Oct. 3 for “Conversations on Dance,” from 7 – 9 p.m. in Studio B of the Ballet and Modern Dance Bldg. The informal event is free and open to the public.

King founded LINES in 1982 and has led its performances to international acclaim. He has received five Isadora Duncan Awards and, in 2005, was named a Master of African-American Choreography by the Kennedy Center.  His choreographic works appear in the repertories of Frankfurt Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem and Swedish National Ballet.

King has also served as guest ballet master for National Ballet of Canada, San Francisco Ballet and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.

The TCU dance building is located at the northwest corner of S. University Drive and Bellaire Drive N. Visitors parking is located directly behind the facility. Enter from Bellaire Drive.
