U.S. News & World Report put the Neeley School of Business at TCU in the Top 10 for MBAs with the Most Financial Value at Graduation, according to a 2010 survey. The TCU MBA program is highlighted as one of 10 schools in the nation with the most initial value by comparing first year starting salaries to debt load.

For the publication’s national ranking of 437 master’s programs in business accredited by the AACSB, the TCU MBA program jumped 14 places to #80 from #94 last year. Our part-time evening MBA program, designed for mid-level working professionals, ranked #73 in the nation.

John A. Byrne, who writes for the website Poets and Quants, lauded the Neeley School as one of the biggest winners in this year’s U.S. News graduate business school ranking for the dramatic rise.  (Poets and Quants lists the rankings as 2011. U.S. News refers to the rankings as 2012.)

“The rankings highlight the value of a TCU MBA degree and the Neeley School’s momentum on the national MBA level, especially when you combine the U.S. News ranking with The Princeton Review’s, which put us in the Top 10 for Most Competitive MBA Students,” said Bill Cron, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs.

“Our continual upward performance in the U.S. News ranking of top graduate business schools is a testament to our MBA admissions staff to recruit the best students and our faculty to deliver an outstanding master’s program in business,” said O. Homer Erekson, John V. Roach Dean at the Neeley School of Business at TCU.

The full-time TCU MBA program currently has 118 students with an average of five years of work experience and an average GMAT score of 647. Students attend the program full-time for two years.  The PMBA, or Professional MBA, classes meet two nights a week for 24 to 33 months. A typical PMBA class of 50-60 students may represent more than 40 different companies.
