A New Year’s celebration concert to be aired live Dec. 26 on the premier radio and television stations across China will feature three members of the TCU School of Music faculty. The event takes place at Shanghai Concert Hall. An estimated 60 million listeners and viewers are expected to tune in to the traditional annual broadcast.

John Owings (piano), Misha Galaganov (viola) and Yuan Xiong Lu (double bass) will perform works by Chopin, Strauss, Wieniawsky, Dittersdorf and Davidov, as well as music by Chinese composers. TCU faculty composer Till Meyn has arranged a special Chinese composition “Song of the Four Seasons” for this concert.

The TCU trio staged a free, preview concert of their program Dec. 4 in PepsiCo Recital Hall.
