2nd Annual Women in Leadership Symposium Covers Leadership, Work-Life Balance and Career Management

“Purpose, Passion and Performance – A New Era!” is the topic for the 2010 Women in Leadership Symposium sponsored by the Texas Diversity Council and the Neeley School of Business at TCU. A diverse panel of successful women will lead the half-day symposium on Friday, August 13, at TCU’s Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center. This is the second year that the Neeley School of Business has brought the Women in Leadership Symposium to Fort Worth.


The interactive panel will feature these female business leaders: A. Shonn Brown, Partner with Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP; Leslie S. Gunawan, Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management; Crystal R. Marra, Vice President of Wealth Management with OmniAmerican Bank; Leah Chevalier Mouton, Senior Manager of Leadership Planning and Performance with American Airlines; Angie Sherrell, Vice President/General Manager of GS Marketing Inc.; and Paula L. Yoder, Director of Executive Development for the Tandy Center for Executive Leadership at the Neeley School of Business at TCU. Shivaun Palmer, Founder and Executive Producer of Women’s Broadcast Network, will be the moderator

The women will discuss leadership, career management, workplace taboos, work-life balance, “A Brand Called ‘You’” and “What If You Don’t Play Golf?”

The Women in Leadership Symposium will take place Friday, August 13, 8:30-11:45 am, at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center, 2820 Stadium Drive on the TCU campus. Networking, registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:30 am. Cost to attend the half-day symposium is $69 per person, $35 for students, $500 for a half-table, and $150 for a vendor/exhibitor table.
