TCU's Neeley School of Business accounting grads rated No. 1 in Texas

Accounting graduates from TCU's Neeley School of Business were rated No. 1 in Texas for success rates in passing the Uniform CPA Exam by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, based on schools with high numbers of candidates taking the exam. For the testing period, October-December 2005, 1,534 candidates from 65 Texas colleges and universities took the exam. Twenty-five were from the Neeley School of Business.

“Since our Masters of Accounting program is small relative to schools such as the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University, this is a significant accomplishment for our recent graduates,” said Dr. Barry Bryan, professor of professional practice in accounting and director of the master of accounting program at the Neeley School of Business. “The success they achieved is a reflection of the quality of instruction they received both from my colleagues in the accounting department and other departments in the Neeley School.”

In addition, PricewaterhouseCoopers has chosen the Neeley School of Business as a key recruiting school. This designation means that PricewaterhouseCoopers will place a substantial amount of resources in on-campus activities, as well as in recruiting and hiring Neeley graduates.
