Charles R. (Bob) Greer has been awarded the M. J. Neeley Professor of Management, which rewards and recognizes a faculty member who has the highest standards in both teaching and research. Greer is chair of the Management Department at the Neeley School of Business at TCU where he has taught for 20 years.

Greer frequently is called upon by companies and media for his expertise in strategic human resource management, industrial relations and negotiations. He serves on the Labor Arbitration Panels of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the American Arbitration Association, and the panel of neutral hearing officers for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). His research has been published in significant academic journals. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Emporia State University, a M.S. in Administration from Wichita State University, and an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.

“Since my first day on campus, I have been impressed with Bob’s dedication and commitment to TCU people and programs,” said Daniel G. Short, Dean of the Neeley School. “I can think of no one more deserving of this recognition. I say that not because he is widely recognized as a prolific scholar; not because he is a dedicated and innovative teacher; not because he is an effective and selfless academic administrator. I think he is deserving of this recognition because he is one of the few people who has the ability to excel in all of these areas.”
